MMA HR Professional Club Seminar
Organized by MMA HR Professional Club, sponsored by Macao Foundation, a seminar themed “The Importance of Corporate Social Responsibility for Corporate Sustainability Development” was held on October 21. Mr. Keegan Cheang, Council Vice-Chairman of MMA and Chairman of HR Club and Dr. Samuel Tong, President of MIM attended the seminar. The seminar was attended by nearly 50 human resources practitioners from various local corporations. Ms. Michelle Chiu, Vice-President of Human Resources Management of MGM was invited to be the speaker.
The seminar delivered the CSR concepts and related managerial strategies to all audiences. During the seminar, Ms. Chiu shared numerous cases and activities which were provided by MGM in order to implement CSR policies to the community, as well as to their staff. She stated that the strategy of CSR needs to be changed under the current pandemic. CSR policies can reinforce the relationship among staff, organizations and communities. Making a relationship-oriented strategy for all parties not only can increase moral and the sense of belonging of employees, but also enhance the corporate image and reputation.
