MMA Annual Management Conference 2020

Co-organized by Macau Management Association and Macau Institute of Management, the 2020 Annual Management Conference was held at 2:30 p.m. on October 30 at 4/F Macau Tower, theming “Intensive Cooperation Between Guangdong-Macau: Business Management Amidst the Pandemic”. 

Mr. Wong Chi Hong, Director of Macao Labour Affairs Bureau, which is the representative of Mr. Lei Wai Nong, Secretary of Economy and Finance, Mr. Zhang Jian Hua, Deputy Director-General of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao S.A.R., Ms. Jiang Xiao Fan , Deputy Director of the Policy Research Department of the Commissioner's Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the Macao S.A.R, Mr. Chui Sai Cheong, President of MMA, Mr. Lau Veng Seng, Council Chairman of MMA, Dr. Tong Kai Chung, President of MIM were attended the conference. Ms. Cally Kuan, Principal of Deloitte China, Mr. Thomas Ho, General Manager of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence International Macau were invited to share their experiences.

Dr. Tong stated that the application of digital economy become popular and advised those SEMs should change from concept and management, in order to overcome psychological barriers and develop new market in Greater Bay Area.  

Ms. Kuan mention that building a resilient enterprise should include four points, which are business strategy, execution ability, commitment from leaders and employees to enterprises, and excellent financial performance.

In addition, enterprises also need to consider their ability to embrace digitalization and electronization. If the enterprises do not adapt the e-payment method in Macau, for example, it is hard to maintain the advantages with other competitors.
