Language Club Activity: Table Manners Teaching Session

Language Club had organized a table manners teaching session at Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 on December 7. We had invited Mr. Herbert Lee, a native English speaker and the senior English lecturer of MMA as the host to introduce the appropriate dress code, dining etiquette, place settings of cutlery, table services, etc., at the formal dinner or party. The activity has attracted 30 participants from various industries such as government departments, gaming industry, insurance, tourism, catering services, small and medium enterprises, medical profession and MMA members to attend.

It was an interactive teaching lesson among the lecturer and all participants. The attendees learned the appropriate western style dining rules through personal experience and might further apply at different social occasions.

To promote the practice of English, Language Club provides English courses and gatherings unperiodically for MMA members and MIM students. This club aims to create a platform where members can learn and practice conversational foreign languages in a relaxing environment.
