MMA and MIM Hold Study Tour to Shenzhen to Broaden Student Horizons

From December 13 to 14, 2025, Macau Management Association (MMA)and Macau Institute of Management (MIM) successfully organized a two-day “Guangdong Free Trade Zone Study Tour” to Shenzhen, funded by the Macao Foundation. The tour went to Shenzhen for a study exchange, led by Deputy Registrar Ms. Winnie Lio and Associate Professor Mr. Nelson Sin from MIM, with active participation of 27 teachers, students and alumni.

During their time in Shenzhen, the tour visited several institutions and venues including the Shenzhen Tsinghua University Research Institute, Southern University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning, Shenzhen Reform and Opening-Up Exhibition Hall, and the Shenzhen Talent Scout House. Through on-site visits, firsthand experiences, and in-depth exchanges, the teachers and students transcended the boundaries of textbook theories, transforming themes such as “innovation-driven development” “deepening reforms” and “talent strategy” into tangible understanding. This further bridged the gap between theoretical learning and social practice. The study tour experience has provided the participants with broader perspectives and practical reference for their future academic exploration or career development.

This study tour featured substantive content and yielded fruitful outcomes. It not only deepened the integration of classroom theories with cutting-edge practices but also fostered greater interaction and mutual understanding between Macao and Shenzhen. MMA and MIM will continue dedicated to cultivating versatile management talents who anchored in the Bay Area, embrace patriotic mindsets while possess a global vision.
