MMA Organized Facility Management Seminar to Explore Building Fire Safety

Organized by MMA, sponsored by Macau Foundation, a thematic seminar of “Facility Management in Fire Safety for Buildings” was held on November 28, with the attendance of Ms. Winnie Lio, Deputy Registrar of MIM and Mr. Andy Leong, facility management expert and instructor of MIM. Mr. Leong covered fire system design, management, and relevant regulations, enhancing practitioners' knowledge and supporting safety development in Macau's facility management sector.

Meanwhile, he explained the application and maintenance of key systems including automatic fire suppression, fire alarms and smoke control, using real-world cases to underscore the importance of risk assessment and safety management in detail. He also introduced fire safety regulations and standards from Macao, Hong Kong and international sources.

The seminar provided a valuable platform for local facility management practitioners to learn and exchange ideas, contributing to greater professionalism and higher fire safety standards in the industry.
