MMA Connects with International Community to Cultivate High Quality Talent
Macau Management Association (MMA) recently led a delegation to attend the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Global Summit Series – Facility Management Tech and Green Transformation 2024 in China.
The summit was grandly held at the Hyatt Regency Shanghai Global Harbor from May 30 to 31, experts from various government departments, institutions of FM engineering and technology, services and green building were invited to analyze the trends of FM industry with multiple aspects through a series of conferences and forums.
Mr. Tommy Lau, Council Chairman of Macau Management Association stated that MMA have been working closely with IFMA, fully integrating the facility management profession into a diverse academic curriculum and training field. As the only institution in Macau to offer professional degree and training courses in facility management, MMA has always adhered to the principle of "Better Management for Better Future." and have been actively promoting the vigorous development of the FM industry by cooperating with various parties through talent development schemes, cultivating professionals with an international vision for Macao and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Meanwhile, contributing to the vigorous development of the “1+4” as well as FM industries in the Macao SAR. Fulfilling advantages via platform network and domestic collaboration with foreign FM professionals in order to establish a stronger and more prosperous of FM industry in Macao.
Mr. Nelson Sin, Senior Lecturer of Macau Institute of Management (MIM) was invited as a speaker to share his insights in FM opportunities and challenges of economic diversification in Macau by facility development, challenges and talent cultivation cases, providing a comprehensive overview of the development of local FM industry to audiences.
During the event, under the joint witness of IFMA members as well as a group of facility management industry elites, a deepened cooperation relationship is established by IFMA’s representative and Mr. Alex Mok, President of MIM Board of Director for making a new milestone in the development of FM industry. In the future, MMA will provide a professional platform and network for Macao's facility management professionals to connect, share experiences as well as best practices and will be organizing diverse professional member activities to enhance the FM professionals' capabilities and broaden their horizons, thereby deepening their understanding and operability of the industry's development.
