MMA Hosted Annual General Meeting & Inauguration Dinner of the 20th Council
Macau Management Association hosted the Annual General Meeting and Inauguration Dinner of 20th Council on October 12 at MGM Macau. The meeting was hosted by Mr. Chui Sai Cheong, President of MMA. Mr. Tommy Lau, Council Chairman of MMA, Mr. Jackson Tsui, Chairman of MMA Supervisory Board, Mr. Alex Mok, Council Vice-Chairman of MMA reported the Council report, opinions from the Supervisory Board and the statement of accounts and opinions from auditor respectively. The Management Board of 20th Council was being elected during the meeting. Mr. Chui Sai Cheong, President of MMA, Mr. Tommy Lau, Council Chairman of MMA, Mr. Jackson Tsui, Chairman of MMA Supervisory Board will continue to assume the leadership positions.
The Inauguration Dinner was held after the meeting. Mr. Liu Chak Wan, Honorary President of MMA; Mr. Chui Sai Cheong, President of MMA; Mr. Tommy Lau, Council Chairman of MMA; Mr. Jackson Tsui, Chairman of MMA Supervisory Board; Mr. Peter Lam, Mr. Bernie Leong, Ms. Winnie Fok, Mr. Jose Tang and Mr. Paul Tse, Vice-Presidents of MMA; Mr. Chan Chak Mo, Mr. Alex Mok, Ms. Catherine Ng, Ms. Simone Ho and Mr. Keegan Cheang, Council Vice-Chairmen of MMA; and Mr. Carlos Cid Alvares attended the dinner.
Addressing the Inauguration Dinner’s opening remarks, Mr. Chui said that this year marks the opening year of the fully and faithfully implementation of the principle of 20th National Congress, and is the major achievements of China’s development in the new era for building a modernized socialist country, and comprehensively facilitating national rejuvenation through modernization with Chinese characteristics. Besides, this year is the critical year as the Macao SAR will pragmatically implementing various initiatives in accordance with Macao’s second Five-Year Development Plan, and to expand Macao's scope of new development pattern. To embrace a new round of development and challenges, “The Legal System for Talent Recruitment” of the Macao SAR Government came into effect on 1st July 2023 which aims to achieve economic diversification and sustainable development of Macao.
We believe that the new term of the management board members could inject new impetus to MMA and will make concerted efforts to cultivate more outstanding talents and contribute to the society in the coming future.
