MMA Annual Management Conference 2022

Organized by Macau Management Association, sponsored by Macao Foundation, the 2022 MMA Annual Management Conference was held on Oct 21 at MGM Macao, theming “The Epochal Innovation and Integration – Inspirations from the In-Depth Cooperation Zone for Macao Enterprises”.

Mr. Tommy Lau, Council Chairman of MMA, Mr. Eddie Wong, Mr. Bernie Leong and Mr. Jose Tang, Vice-Presidents of MMA General Assembly, Mr. Vong Hin Fai, Council Vice-Chairman and Honorary Secretary General of MMA, Mr. Chan Chak Mo, Mr. Alex Mok and Mr. Keegan Cheang, Council Vice- Chairman of MMA were attended the conference. Mr. Ieong Tou Hong, Member of Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Member of Executive Council of Macao S.A.R, Mr. Kevin Ho, Macau Representative of National People's Congress and President of The Industry and Commerce Association of Macau and Mr. Albert Xu, General Manager of Pachira (International) Technology CO., LTD were invited be the speaker to share their experiences.

Mr. Ieong shared the details of construction and planning of Hengqin, analyzed the four key developing industries, in which science and technology research and high-end manufacturing were placed as the priority. It is suggested that we should particularly pay attention to it. He also suggested that Hengqin and Macao should cooperate in developing an integrated tourism industry, using respective advantages to leverage the development of the peripheral industries.

Mr. Kevin Ho stated that enterprises have high expectations to the development of Hengqin. The Master Plan was officially released last year, now is the policy transition period. He believes that once the driveway between Macau and Hengqin is fully open in the future, it will attract more visitors so as to enhance the economic development.
