HR Club Seminar -“Post Pandemic Era - Raising Awareness on Labor Relations”

Organized by MMA HR Professional Club, sponsored by Macao Foundation, a seminar themed “Post Pandemic Era - Raising Awareness on Labor Relations” was held on November 25 (Thursday). Mr. Keegan Cheang, Council Vice-Chairman of MMA and Chairman of HR Club and Ms. Jodie Lam, Assistant Secretary General of MMA attended the seminar. Mr. Daniel Chio, barrister of DCSM Law Office was invited to be the speaker. The seminar was attended by nearly 30 human resources practitioners from various local corporations. 

During the seminar, Mr. Chio not only briefed basic Macau labor law to all audiences, but also shared on common work arrangements, the legality and legal consequences of changing working conditions under the pandemic, and appropriate management approaches of labor relations in the "post-pandemic era".

As the local economy has been undergone profound adjustments under pandemic era, Chio stated that new forms of business had been emerged in various industries so that labor relations between enterprises and employees have been changed accordingly. Human resources practitioners need to maintain positive labor relations in order to establish a win-win situation between labors and enterprises.
