MMA and MIM Visited the Thematic Exhibition
To remember history and promote the patriotic pursuit of unity and progress among Chinese people, and to deepen the understanding of wartime history among staffs of MMA and MIM, Mr. Tommy Lau, Council Chairman of MMA; Mr. Alex Mok, President of MIM Board of Directors and Council Vice-Chairmen of MMA; Mr. Keegan Cheang, Council Vice-Chairmen of MMA and Prof. Samuel Tong, President of MIM led the group to participate in the “For National Liberation and World Peace – Thematic Exhibition Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War” on September 11.
This exhibition is hosted at the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform Complex. Themed “Remembering History, Honoring Martyrs, Cherishing Peace, and Finding the Future”, the exhibition displays precious historical images and videos in six sections, revisiting the torturous resistance of the Chinese nation against Japanese aggression between 1931 and 1945 and the profound significance of the victory. The exhibition also displays Macao people’s support for the resistance, including fundraising campaigns, refugee aid, and frontline support, reflecting the profound patriotic sentiments of Macao people weathering adversity together with the nation.
Mr. Lau stated that the exhibition, featuring archive materials, serves as a powerful reminder to visitors – especially those from younger generations – of the resilience, courage, and heroic acts of the Chinese people that contributed to their victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.
