YAP GBA Study Visit to Guangzhou Grand Tech Park
The participants of “GEG Youth Achievement Program” (YAP) led by Dr. Lucas Lei, a trainer from the Macau Institute of Management, as the facilitator of the tour visited the “Home of the Returnees in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” and the “Institute of Digital Guangzhou” in “Guangzhou Grand Tech Park”, as well as visited the “Guangdong Longsee Biomedical Co., Ltd.” on November 30. The participants gained a deep understanding of the services and support these organizations provide to returnees (individuals who have studied abroad and returned to work in Mainland China). The study visit also provided interactive and inspiring experiences with smart products for the participants and insights into the role of microorganisms and their relevance to our daily lives and health. Witnessing the patents and outstanding achievements in Chinese medical technology, the participants were encouraged by their personal experience of the profound significance that technological advancements bring to our people and nation.
During the study visit, YAP also led the participants to the “Tunnel Museum” to learn about the milestones in China’s tunnel development through the application of technology and industrial products, each indicating a touching and challenging Chinese story.
The participants expressed gratitude not only for the passionate reception and selfless explanations provided by the visited organizations but also for the profound inspiration that ignited their reflections on the technological advancements in the Greater Bay Area, career development considerations, and a newfound interest and passion for technological innovation, further understanding the core meaning of “Creating Value through Technology”.
