The University of Cambridge offers a series of Cambridge International Diploma Programs. Among them, there is a higher diploma program specially for travel and tourism. The contents include the industrys development tend, marketing, business development itinerary planning and so on. You can adopt its syllabus as your in-house training program to train your staff with necessary skills and knowledge. Upon completion of the training, you can encourage your staff to enroll for the examination which requires submitting two work-related assignments and sitting for a written test. The examination can be answered in Chinese. For those who have successfully completed the examination, the University of Cambridge will issue a diploma which is equivalent to the National Vocational Qualification at Level3. Your staff with this diploma can further their studies in a bachelor degree program. As the examination is designed to assess how the students apply what they have learned, they have to prove their competence to solve problems encountered in their jobs with confidence. Your training centre can firstly apply to be a program centre and examination centre of City and guilds. Then, your students can directly sit for the practical examination upon completion of the programs. Thus, they can acquire two certificates simultaneously, one issued by your training centre and the other by the city and Guilds. The arrangement helps to promote your centre to a higher status of offering programs preparing for international vocational qualifications.
